On September 11, 2001, when the World Trade Center was hit by those planes, I had no idea what impact it would have on my future. I remember how sad and shocked I was but as a twelve year old, the severity and meaning of that day was not something I understood. Now nine years later, I sit here writing this post as an Army Wife. That day has turned into a long war against terrorism. My husband has served in Iraq in an effort to fight this war. I now at least partially understand the sacrifice. I thank those who have fought to protect our freedom and I pray for the families who have lost a loved one either on that memorable day or in the nine years since. Their ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.
