During the last Wives of Faith Blog Carnival I won a book by Kathleen Cline titled I Want To Be the Fat Pretty One Reflecting God's Esteem. At the end of each chapter it asks questions about what was read and this chapter asked to find Proverbs that touched of the topic of the chapter. I wanted to share those with you.
Proverbs 8:13
To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
Proverbs 9:10
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. ..."
Proverbs 10:27
The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.
Proverbs 14:27
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.
Proverbs 15:33
The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
Proverbs 16:6
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord a man avoids evil.
Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the Lord leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Enjoy :)
