holy spirit.

normally the holy spirit is the focus on the day of pentecost but because this year mother's day also fell on the day of pentecost, we focused on mother's day. so sunday pastor made up for it by focusing on the holy spirit in both services. in the morning service pastor talked about the definition the holy spirit and how the holy spirit is our helper. in the evening service he focused on being baptized in the holy spirit. not to mention we talked about the holy spirit in sunday school. talk about a sign...

the holy spirit has always intrigued me because it is talked about but i never really knew what it was or why it was important. sunday night definitely helped. and actually i am happy to say that sunday night i received the holy spirit for the first time. i'm not saying i wasn't saved, you can be saved without being baptized in the holy spirit, but now i've been baptized in the holy spirit as well. its an amazing, surreal, indescribable feeling. what surprised me was that with all of the energy produced from the connection i had an amazing sense of peace. i don't think i've ever felt so much at peace. another amazing thing is that one of my best friends was praying with me when it happened. i love julie!! i feel truly blessed that God has gifted me with her friendship.
